PURPOSE: Provided is a manufacturing method of a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate fiber having 8.0-10.3g/denier of tensile strength, at least 2500kg/mm of Young's modulus, increased dimensional stability(below 6% of shrinking percentage in 180deg.C of dry heat), at least 271deg.C of melting point, increased uniformity of quality, chemical resistance and improved spinning workability, and being useful for a tire cord, a hose and a belt for industries. CONSTITUTION: When the polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate fiber is obtained by melt-spinning polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate polymer having 0.5-1.5 of inherent viscosity and containing 90mol% of naphthalene dicarboxylate unit, and drawing. The following formula(1) is made between spinning temperature and inherent viscosity of an undrawn yarn and a drawn yarn. In the formula(1), Z is spinning temperature, and Y is inherent viscosity of the undrawn yarn and the drawn yarn. Inherent viscosity of the undrawn yarn and the drawn yarn comes to 0.5-1.0dl/g by controlling spinning temperature.
