<p>PURPOSE: A digital TV repeater and a method for processing errors is provided to detect the generation of an error from a broadcasting signal and to carry out a relevant announcement to subscribers. CONSTITUTION: A digital TV repeater consists of a receiving part and a transmitting part. The receiving part receives a broadcasting signal, demodulates it into an IF signal, analyzes the demodulated IF signal, and outputs preset image data to the transmitting part in case that an error has been generated. The receiving part is comprised of a BPF(301), an LNA(302), a variable attenuator(303), a mixer(304), an IF filter(305), an IF amplifier(306), a SAW filter(307), a splitter(308), an IF signal detector(321), the first ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)(322), a controller(316), an image data storage memory(323), a switch(312), a digital demodulator(309), the second ADC(310), and a digital broadcasting decoder(311). The transmitting part, modulating and amplifying the image data outputted from the receiving part, sends the modulated and amplified data to subscribers. The transmitting part is comprised of a digital modulator(313) and a transmitter(314). The digital modulator(313) modulates the image data switched and outputted from the switch(312) and outputs an IF signal. The transmitter(314) upconverts the IF signal outputted from the digital modulator(313) to the frequency of a preset channel and sends it.</p> |
