摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for predicting thickness of a hot finishing rolling controller are provided which improve accuracy of thickness of a rolling plate and products by accurately predicting thickness of a steel sheet between stands in hot finishing rolling. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises first step of inputting values calculated in setup of a hot finishing roll mill including outlet thickness h, inlet thickness H, and tension tb and tf into an input unit (10); second step of setting the thickness h inputted from the input unit as h1 and operating a rolling load P in a thickness and load operation unit (11); third step of obtaining a straight-line equation connecting a point (H,0) with a point (h,P) in an elastic curve and a straight-line operation unit (12); fourth step of calculating a thickness of the outlet side from an intersection point of the straight-line and elastic curve in a microprocessor (13); and fifth step of comparing whether an error between the thickness and the previously set thickness (h1) is converged lass than an arbitrary value (ε= 0) in a thickness error comparing unit (15), wherein the finally calculated values including a thickness of the outlet side, its deviation and a rolling load are outputted by an FFAGC (Feed Forward Automatic Gauge Control) (9) when it is converged in the fifth step, or returning to the second step when it is not converged in the fifth step.
