PURPOSE: A howling preventing apparatus and method of a mobile terminal are provided to prevent a Howling phenomenon caused due to a mutual interruption by fixedly installing a microphone of a phone transmitted outside a main body of a mobile phone and separating it from a speaker device of a phone receiver. CONSTITUTION: A microphone device includes a mounting hole(11) formed on an upper casing frame(111) and a microphone(12) mounted on the mounting hole(11). The microphone(12) is covered by a holder(13), and the holder(13) is substantially mounted at the mounting hole(11). The holder(13) is made of a rubber material and can be forcibly and firmly fixed at the mounting hole. A transmitting hole(13a) for transmitting a transmitting sound to the microphone(12) is formed on the holder(13). A male connector(12a) is protrusively installed downwardly at a lower side of the microphone(12), so that it can be directly connected to a printed circuit board(20) of a main body by penetrating the upper casing frame(111) when it is mounted. Accordingly, a connector through hole(11a) is formed on the mounting hole(11) through which the male connector(12a) of the microphone(12) penetrates. A female connector(21) is installed on the printed circuit board(20) , to which the male connector(12a) penetrating the connector through hole(11a) of the mounting hole(11) is directly connected.
