STORAGE HOPPER DECREASING POWDER GENERATION OF QUICK LIME

PURPOSE: A storage hopper is provided to decrease the powder generation caused by drop shock occurring during storage by designing a new shape of hopper. CONSTITUTION: A storage hopper is used for decrease of powder generation during storage or movement of particle containing a comparatively low strength and a grain size of calcined powder and steel. An upper region of a storage hopper for calcined powder is slanted and a method for mounting the calcined powder along a slant face not dropping. Up to 30degrees of slant angle, decrease of calcined powder generating rate does not appear clearly while over 40degrees, powder generation is remarkably enhanced. The shape of calcined powder products is formed so a top region as to have a slant angle over 40degrees from a vertical direction. Thus, the powder generation caused by drop shock is decreased.
