DECISION FEEDBACK EQUALIZER HAVING FEEDBACK EQUALIZER AND UN-NORMALIZED SLICER

PURPOSE: A decision feedback equalizer having a feedback equalizer and an un-normalized slicer is provided to reduce size of multipliers in the feedback equalizer and to maintain performance of the decision feedback equalizer. CONSTITUTION: The first multiplier(171) multiplies input signal and the first constant and output the result signal to the un-normalized slicer(131). The un-normalized slicer(131) reduces the numbers of output bit to predetermined level in response to the output from the first multiplier(171). The feedback equalizer(121) responds the output from the un-normalized slicer(131) to output the equalized signal to the second multiplier(181). The second multiplier(181) multiplies the output from the feedback equalizer(121) and the second constant to output the result.
