PURPOSE: A vehicle engine control method is provided to keep the torque of an engine in advance and apply when compensating the opening of a throttle valve by filtering the opening of the throttle valve after shifting in a manual transmission having an ETC(Electronic Throttling Controller). CONSTITUTION: While traveling, the opening of an accelerator pedal, the RPM of an engine, and the speed of a vehicle are detected and read(S100). A shift point is compared and detected(S110). The opening degree of a throttle valve is finally calculated(S120) when detecting the shift point. The torque of the engine is output according to the final opening degree of the throttle valve(S130). The final compensated torque is computed with the output torque of the engine, and the opening degree of the throttle valve is compensated. The opening of the throttle valve is filtered after shifting in a manual transmission having an ETC, and the torque of the engine is applied to load filtering and anti-surge functions when compensating the opening of the throttle valve by keeping the engine torque in advance. The shock and the surge are prevented by restricting the increase of the torque of the engine when accelerating.
