PURPOSE: A die for producing a polymer insulator is provided to eliminate a gate arranged on a side of the insulator for injecting resin in releasing the insulator from the die. CONSTITUTION: Resin is injected through a runner(5) formed on a die(1). The resin is injected to a gate through the runner for being inputted to a space formed by upper and lower dies(1,2). An FRP rod(7) is inserted to form a core of a polymer insulator. Then, the resin surrounds the rod to complete the polymer insulator. Herein, a cutting portion of the gate is inclined for over an angle of an inner wall of the gate. Thus, the cutting portion eliminates the gate shape formed on a side of the polymer insulator in releasing the polymer insulator from the lower die. Therefore, a process of eliminating the gate shape on the polymer insulator is not required.
