PURPOSE: A field emission display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve a focusing characteristic of electrons without performing a multitude of etching process. CONSTITUTION: A cathode electrode(22) is formed on a cathode plate. A gate insulating layer is formed on the cathode plate. A gate electrode(24) is formed on the gate insulating layer. A hole is formed to expose the cathode electrode(24) by patterning partially the gate electrode(24) and the gate insulating layer. A tip(25) is formed at an inside of the hole. An insulating paste line(27) is formed to cover an intersected portion of the cathode electrode(22) and the gate electrode(24). A conductive paste line(28) is formed on the insulating paste line(27).
