DETECTING DEVICE OF DRIVE PULLEY FOR CONVEYOR BELT

PURPOSE: A drive pulley detecting device is provided to prevent equipment accident enlargement since damage of pulley lagging without a driver's inspection of pulley lagging. CONSTITUTION: Detectors are composed of a detecting conductor integrally fixed to a pulley shaft and brush sets applying electric current to a fixed conductor. Herein, the brush set is combined with a brush set case and inside thereof, a spring and a brush are sequentially inserted. A conductor connecting coil is connected to the brush by a connector. On starting of conveyor, power of wear detecting devices is turned on at a control unit and damage of detecting coil is detected. In case of damage of one detect coil among three due to wear of pulley lagging, a signal is supplied to the control unit for stopping a conveyor belt and controlling action is completed.
