PURPOSE: To improve visibility and prevent dazzle. CONSTITUTION: Slant cut lines CL1, CL2 or horizontal cut lines CL3, CL4 in light distribution pattern PL for the low beam can be varied. As a consequence, visibility is improved and countermeasures for dazzle are taken for those cars running ahead, running on the opposite lane and pedestrians.
