PURPOSE: An overhead crane safety device is provided to prevent an accident through a space of a girder with interlocking with movement of a car at a lower region of front and rear sides of girder. CONSTITUTION: An actuating connect member is composed of an actuating bar made of bar member and a lower tip end of the actuating bar is fitted to wires. Inner end of safety nets(23,25) are formed by being molded integrally with a connecting ring arranged at wires. In the operation of an overhead crane safety device, in case a crane car(17) operates left and rightward, the wires are supported on a pulley of a support bar. The safety nets have a tip end coupled to the actuating bar and move with the crane car left and right for the safety net to open and other safety net(25) to fold. Thereby, even though a worker falls by mistake between front and rear girders(13,13'), accident is prevented by the safety nets.
