PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device and its control method make the impact of closing a door absorbed by the opposite door. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises an opening detecting sensor(4), ducts(26, 28), a flap(8) and opening/closing solenoids(34, 36). The ducts(26, 28) are installed to cross doors(14, 16). The flap(8) is installed on one sides of the ducts(26, 28) to be opened by impact transmitted to the doors(14, 16). The opening/closing solenoids(34, 36) is installed on the other sides of the ducts(26, 28) to be operated to open and close by electric signal of an electronic control unit(12) receiving signal of the opening detecting sensor(4).
