PURPOSE: A clutch drum of an automatic transmission improves the cooling performance of a clutch by enabling the expansion of the outer diameter of a drive plate through the shape alternation of a clutch drum, thereby improving the durability of the automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION: The middle portion of a protrusion(30) of a drive plate is removed and a space(32) is formed here. Thus, the assembly of an expanded portion formed on the drive plate to improve cooling performance is enabled. Therefore, the cooling and lubricating performances are improved. Further, the capacity of clutch is increased, thereby improving the durability of an automatic transmission. Furthermore, the outer diameter of the drive plate is expanded with improving lubrication performance.
