PURPOSE: Provided are a microorganism, Pseudomonas fluorescens KGPP207 (KCTC 0715BP), and a method for improving the production rate of high quality ginseng using its metabolites, thereby the growth rate and the weight of ginseng can be increased. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism, Pseudomonas fluorescens KGPP207 (KCTC 0715BP), is isolated from the soil by the steps of: sampling the soil around ginseng; incubating it in a medium containing 20g of peptone, 1.5 of K2HPO4, MgSO 4·7H2O and 20g of proteose peptone, at 30 deg. C for 2 to 6 days under the aerobic condition; selecting a strain activating the growth of ginseng; and identifying the strain as Pseudomonas fluorescens KGPP207 (KCTC 0715BP). The method for improving the production rate of high quality ginseng comprises the steps of: incubating Pseudomonas fluorescens KGPP207 (KCTC 0715BP) in a medium containing 20g of peptone, 1.5 g of K2HPO4, MgSO4·7H2O at 26 to 28 deg. C for 24 to 48 hours with precipitating a plant growth activating hormone such as indole acetic acid or phenyl acetic acid with agitating; and spraying the fermented culture to ginseng or dipping the seed of ginseng in the fermented culture.
