DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING DATA CONVERSION ERROR OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a data conversion error of a mobile communication system is provided to detect a frame loss and a PPP(Point-to-Point Protocol) frame CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) error. CONSTITUTION: A central processor receives HDLC(High Level Data Link Control) data of a base station center(ST11). The central processor performs a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) for the HDLC data(ST12). If a CRC checked result is not normal(ST13), the central processor decides that the HDLC data has a CRC error, and discards an HDLC data frame(ST14). If a CRC checked result is normal(ST13), the central processor stores a PPP(Point-to-Point Protocol) frame of the data in a memory(ST15). The central processor confirms whether a CRC for the stored PPP frame is normal(ST16). If not, the central processor accumulates an error count(ST17).
