RECEIVER FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE: A receiver for mobile communication is provided to save power in a mobile wireless system in which a subscriber ID cannot identified immediately from a receiving signal. CONSTITUTION: A paging message which is divided over paging message blocks is evaluated. When no prescribed subscriber identity number is included in the paging message, the receiver is set to a power save mode. The controller compares a received paging message sub-block with a stored sample. When the received paging message sub-block is matched, the receiver is set so as not to receive paging message sub-blocks which are subsequent to the same paging sub block.
