PURPOSE: A selector lever shift lock device of an automatic transmission reliably fix a cable bracket to a drive range when a selector lever is in a manual mode without being affected by the fluctuation or vibration of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A stopper(14) of a locking member(12) is inserted in a stopper hole(9) of a main frame(3) by an elastic member(15) if a selector lever(2) is converted to a manual mode at a drive range position about a hinge point. Thus, a cable bracket(5) is locked to the main frame(3), unrotatably, in a drive range. Further, a push protrusion(11) of the selector lever(2) pushes one side of the stopper(14) if the selector lever(2) is converted to a drive range position from a manual mode after being rotated about the hinge point. Thus, the elastic force of the elastic member(15) is overcome such that the stopper(14) is removed from the stopper hole(9). Therefore, the locking of the cable bracket(5) is released to be rotatable on the main frame(3) at the drive range. |
