PURPOSE: A power up reset circuit is provided to operate independently regardless of a ramping up speed and a supply voltage level. CONSTITUTION: In a power up reset circuit, the first and second devices control the potentials of the second and third nodes according to the potential of the first node. The third device controls the potential of the third node according to the potential of the second node. The fourth device inverts the potential of the third node to determine the potential of the first node. The fourth device inverts the potential of the third node to determine the potential of the first node. The fifth device delays the potential of the first node to output a reset signal. The sixth device delays the potential of the first node to determine the potential of the fourth node. The seventh and eighth devices control the potentials of the second and third nodes according to the potential of the fourth node.
