PURPOSE: A method for editing a display unit in a portable phone is provided to display the screen edited on the graphic LCD of a portable phone by a user as a logo screen or an alarm screen. CONSTITUTION: Menu items, such as a FILE(12), an EDIT(13), a CONFIG(14), a HELP(15), etc., are configured in the uppermost part of a main screen(11) displayed on the monitor of a personal computer. An Editing Tool(16) provides basic diagrams in an editing screen(19) of an Editing Window(18) so that a user can edit them. A Color Tool(21) provides a color screen(22) to select various colors. The FILE(12) is composed of Open, Save, Transfer, and End. The EDIT(13) contains Circle, Box, and Line, as the diagrams of the editing screen(19). The CONFIG(14) is comprised of Port to select a port of the personal computer and Panel to select the basic diagrams. The HELP(15) provides a help for each item to the user.
