PURPOSE: An electronic steel sheet for a small size iron core, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the cost of manufacturing of the steel sheet, to achieve the greatest advantage in magnetic properties and to improve the noise characteristics. CONSTITUTION: As to a component system, the contents of Se, S, O and N as impurities in the steel are reduced to 30 ppm, respectively. Further, as to magnetic properties, magnetic flux density B50 in a rolling direction (L direction) and that in a direction (C direction) perpendicular to the rolling direction are regulated to 1.70 T and more, respectively, and also the ratio between these magnetic flux densities, B50(L)/B50(C), is regulated to 1.005 to 1.100.
