METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY ALLOCATING AND RELEASING HDLC CHANNELS

PURPOSE: A method for dynamically allocating and releasing HDLC(High-level Data Link Control) channels is provided to increase efficiency in the speed of unused HDLC channel search and the management of HDLC channel resources. CONSTITUTION: An HDLC channel ID management database is initialized(ST110). An unused HDLC channel ID management database is initialized(ST120). A used HDLC channel ID management database is initialized(ST130). A currently unused HDLC channel ID is acquired from the unused HDLC channel ID management database, and the HDLC channel ID is allocated(ST140). The node having the acquired HDLC channel ID is added to the used HDLC channel ID management database(ST150). Link setup work for the node added in the used HDLC channel ID management database and a new added node is executed in the HDLC channel ID management database(ST160). The node address of the used HDLC channel ID management database having information for an HDLC channel to be released in the HDLC channel ID management database is acquired, and the HDLC channel ID is released(ST170). The node having the HDLC channel ID is deleted from the used HDLC channel ID management database(ST180). The node having the HDLC channel ID is added to the unused HDLC channel ID management database(ST190).
