PURPOSE: Provided is a manufacturing method for alternating-current generators with which alternating-current generators with higher degrees of alignment at coil end can be manufactured with ease. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method for alternating-current generators includes a process, in which a strand(30) is folded so as to provide a straight portion to be fit into a slot and thus a winding assembly is formed, a process in which plate-like magnetic members with the slots formed therein are laminated to form an elementary iron core, a process in which the winding assembly is placed on the elementary iron core and pressure is applied, so that the straight portions are fit into the slots, and a process in which the elementary iron core is bent into a cylindrical shape and both the end faces of the elementary iron core are brought into contact with each other and welded together to form a stator core.
