PURPOSE: A method for arranging reference data for an electronic document conversion is provided to remove a degradation of an electronic document converter by dispersedly arranging EDI reference data according to a hashing algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A table is initialized(701). Path information to the table is obtained(702). Schema information such as a table number and a base is obtained(703). A calculation of a hashing function is performed using a key value(704). A record is extracted from the table using the value(705). A flag bit is confirmed(706). In case that a value of the flag bit is "1", it is processed as an error(707). In case that a value of the flag bit is "2", the existing value is compared with a new value(708). It is checked whether the existing value is matched to the value(709). An index of an overflow area is obtained(710). A record value is inserted into a buffer(711). It is confirmed whether a value of a pointer is "0"(712). In case that the value of the pointer is "0", it is terminated.
