PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device capable of suitably continu ing update processing by using non-updated data duplexed in the other processor when the data update processing is interrupted in one processor due to the failure of a power source or the failure of a memory. SOLUTION: This information recording device is provided with plural control means for recording data received from a host device in an information recording medium, and each control means is provided with a memory. In this case, the data are temporarily stored in the memory of one control means, and stored so as to be duplexed in the memory of the other control means, and when the recording processing of the data to be operated by one control means is interrupted, the recording processing is continued by using the duplexed data by the other control means. A point that the update processing of the data in one controller is turned into an irreversible sate is reported from the controller to the controller having the duplexed data.
