PURPOSE: A shift lock device of an automatic transmission simplifies the structure of a device and provides a device used only as a shift lock function at need by carrying out the function of a shift lock with one cam and the function of a key lock with a switch. CONSTITUTION: A shift lock device comprises a shift lever(60), a shift lock cam(70), a shift lock cable(75), a return member and a key lock switch(80). The shift lever(60) is rotated by being installed in a lever housing with the lower part thereof and has a detent pin formed thereon hooked to a detent plate in the lower part. The shift lock cam(70) restricts the movement of the detent pin at the specific shift step of the shift lever by being set to rotate in the lever housing. The shift lock cable(75) is connected not to restrict the detect pin by rotating the shift lock cam according to the operation of a brake pedal. The return member returns the shift lock cam(70) to a position restricting the movement of the detent pin by being set at least to either the shift lock cam(70) or the shift lock cable(75). The key lock switch is set on the shift lever and outputs a contact sign to pull out a starting key from a key box when the shift lever contacts the shift lock cam at a specific step. Therefore, the shift lock device simplifies the structure of a device and provides a device used only as a shift lock function at need.
