PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote communication network node, capable of processing a signal transmitted according to a different protocol, i.e., a node having a 'multiprotocol' function. SOLUTION: This node can combine the same types of payload (or strictly distributed among various types of traffics) of a frame coming into the node in an optimum and flexible form. The node includes a means, which processes the received frame and can generate a frame having the same type of payloads, mixed/multiprotocol payloads distributed in the flexible form or both of them, in response to special requests. Because of the node, different networks for each type of transmission (SDH, PDH, IP, ATM, Ethernet (R), etc.,) do not have to be constructed any longer. New remote communication frame and network are disclosed. |
