PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup magazine attachable/detachable camera which reduces battery consumption of the camera to the utmost, prevents unnecessary operations and automatically sets the camera side to an ISO film sensitivity adapted to an imaging device on the image pickup magazine side when photographing with the image pickup magazine attached. SOLUTION: Electric contacts 4 and 17 are provided in the upper and lower parts on the rear face of a camera body 1, and electric contacts 5 and 8 are provided in the upper and lower parts of an electronic imaging device 7 of an image pickup magazine 6. When the image pickup magazine 6 is set to an aperture 13 of the camera, a camera control circuit part 16 detects the connection of electric contacts to inhibit driving of a motor 18. ISO film sensitivity data are sent from an image pickup magazine side control circuit part 19 to the camera control circuit part 16 through communication circuits 32 and 26, and ISO film sensitivity display on the camera side is invalidated, and the ISO film sensitivity corresponding to the electronic imaging device 7 is displayed on the display part of the camera.
