PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner fitting pedestal which never generates a vibration posture exerting adverse influence on a fitted optical scanner although it is lightweight and manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner pedestal where mutually opposed bent parts 41 and 42 formed by bending the four sides of a thin steel plate and provided with screw holes 43a to 43d are fixed to an unillustrated housing, etc., and an optical scanner (not illustrated) is fitted to the main surface of the bent part on the opposite side to the bending direction. This cut parts 43a and 44a are provided nearly in the lengthwise centers of the other bent parts 43 and 44.
