PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication system, where a private branch exchange is connected by using a gateway device and a terminal (PC) connected to the gateway device and a call controller via a LAN can be used as an extension. SOLUTION: The private branch exchange is connected between a public telecommunication network and the gateway device on the LAN, and communication with the terminal on the LAN can be made available by using extension communication with an extension telephone housed by the private branch exchange, outside line communication with the public telecommunication network and line communication with the gateway device.
