PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking of vapor and greasy fumes to a detecting part of a sensor, by closing a shutter when a door is opened. SOLUTION: This heating cooking appliance is equipped with an infrared sensor for measuring the temperature of food in a heating chamber and an opening-closing shutter for preventing penetration of vapor and greasy fumes generated from the heated food into the detecting part of the sensor. The shutter is closed at the time of opening of the opening-closing door which opens and closes when the food is put in and out of the heating chamber. The shutter is closed desirably after a prescribed time passes after the door is opened. Moreover, the appliance is equipped with direct start keys for starting an automatic cooking menu, and the above prescribed time coincides with the reception forbidding time of the direct start keys.
