PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television broadcast receiver and its method that can enhance a display speed of received contents in a way of being sufficiently put into practical use. SOLUTION: The digital television broadcast receiver is provided with an expansion section 13 that expands data broadcast contents multiplexed on a digital television broadcast wave into a graphic image and with a storage section 14 that stores the expanded image generated by the expansion section 13, and reads the expanded image corresponding to that stored in the storage section 14 and displays the image when display of the expanded image having already been subject to expansion processing and stored in the storage section 14 is requested.
