PURPOSE: A vehicle engine controlling method is provided to stop operation of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) control valve according to a sudden acceleration regardless of an operation area of the EGR control valve. CONSTITUTION: An engine RPM(Revolutions Per Minute), an opening degree of an accelerator pedal, state of a clutch pedal, and an opening degree of a throttle valve are received. In case of the on state of the clutch pedal(S110), a location of an engine is detected(S120). In case of the engine located within an idle range, the opening degree of the accelerator pedal is detected. By the opening degree of the accelerator pedal over a first set value, an EGR control valve is turned off. If a real time elapses over a specific reference time, the EGR control valve is turned on(S150,S160).
