PURPOSE: A speed control device of a motor is provided to simplify circuit structure and reduce manufacturing costs by forming a power transformer using a combination circuit of respective two transistors and diodes. CONSTITUTION: A rotation speed operator(507) receives an output signal of a rotor position detector(508) to calculate the rotation speed of a rotor. A speed controller(501) receives the difference between a speed command from a main controller and the calculated rotation speed to control the speed of the rotor. A magnetic flux angle operator(506) receives the current applied to the motor and the output signal of the rotor position detector(508) to calculate the magnetic flux angle of the rotor. A magnetic flux operator(505) receives the output of the speed controller and the current applied to the motor to control magnetic flux current. A magnetic flux controller(502) receives the difference between the output of the speed controller and the output of the magnetic flux operator to control torque according to load. A voltage generator(503) modulates the output of the magnetic flux control into voltage suitable to speed and torque to be controlled. An inverter(504) modulates the voltage of the voltage generator into voltage suitable to operate the motor.
