The system uses two spools of material which embed the integrated circuits to enable continuous production. The process for continuous mfr. of integrated circuit cards uses a first band of sheet material (2) forming the body of the cards, with an upper surface (3.1) on which electrical circuits are formed extending to the integrated circuit positions. A second band of sheet material (10) is applied to the first, the second band having sufficient thickness to embed the integrated circuits (7). The first and second bands of material have sufficient flexibility to enable them to be supplied from rolls (1,9). The speed of movement of the two bands, and the application of integrated circuits are controlled in order to provide synchronized assembly of the integrated circuit cards, which are then separated from one another by cutting the finished product (14) at appropriate intervals.
