PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source using a light emitting diode which has a required correlated color temperature and high mean color rendering evaluation number Ra, and an illumination apparatus using it. SOLUTION: A first light emitting diode emitting red color light whose half value width of emitting light spectrum is 15-60 nm, a second light emitting diode emitting green color light whose half value width of emitting light spectrum is 20-60 nm and a third light emitting diode emitting blue color light whose half value width of emitting light spectrum is 15-70 nm are additive-mixed and a white color light can be obtained. Suitable peak wavelengths of each light emitting diode are 605-635 nm in case of the first emitting diode, 530-570 nm in case of the second emitting diode and 450-490 nm in case of the third emitting diode, and white color light having different correlated color temperatures can be obtained by selecting each luminous flux ratio. |
