PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for electrophysiological automatic measurement for automatically measuring a reaction when a drug is administered by automatically inserting a glass electrode into an oocyte membrane, and holding a film potential. SOLUTION: The glass electrode 102 in the air is moved toward the oocyte 601 held in a cell. When the electrode 103 is landed on the surface 603 of a solution and conducted with an earth electrode 604, the potential of the electrode exhibits near 0 mV. When the electrode 103 is moved and makes contact with the membrane surface of the oocyte 601, a potential of about -5 mV is indicated. Further, when the electrode 102 is moved and the electrodes 102 is inserted into the membrane, a potential of about -20 mV is indicated. The potential states of the above electrodes are fetched by a control computer. The relative position between the electrode 102 and the oocyte 601 is identified. The electrode 102 is inserted into the oocyte 601, a drug is administered while holding the film potential. A series of above electrophysiological measurements are automated. Therefore, many samples can be rapidly measured. |
