PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily settle balls provided in a ball balancer concerning an optical disk, which uses the ball balancer. SOLUTION: By repeating acceleration/deceleration in a low-speed rotating area after the start of a spindle motor, balls are dispersed out of the condition that the balls of the ball balancer are not rolled because of the static friction of the balls and a groove wall. Thus, since the ball is settled at a position balanced in weight, the disk can be rotated while being well balanced. |
