PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for detecting the independent operation of a non-utility generating facility capable of easily detecting that a non-utility generating facility is operating independently under the unsound state of a power supply side from the side of the non-utility generating facility interconnected to the power supply side. SOLUTION: This device is provided with two lines 6a, 6b branched at a portion of a branch line 6 provided between the distribution line 3 of the side of a system electric power company 1 and the non-utility generator 7 of a non-utility generating facility 2, a detection impedance load 11 connected to one branched line 6a, two detection impedance loads 13, 15 connected to the other branched line 6b, a first current detector 17 that detects the current flowing from the detection impedance load 11 to the non-utility generator side on the branched line 6a, a second current detector 18 that detects the current flowing between the connection points of the second and third detection impedance loads 13, 15 on the other branched line 6b, and an ammeter 19 that is connected to both ends of either one of the first and second current detectors 17, 18 in the structure that both ends of the first current detector 17 on the branched line 6a are cross-connected to those of the second current detector 18 on the other branched line 6b.
