PURPOSE: A finite element modeling method can represent elastic mode to improve the model for suspension analysis. CONSTITUTION: A modeling method comprises five steps. The first step(21) is to study the size and the weight of a tire. The second step(22) is to construct an elastic tire model composed of the consistent mass of the center of the tire, three-directional springs radially connected to the consistent mass and a bar connecting the three-directional springs respectively. The third step(23) is to set initial values of the three-directional springs. The forth step(24) is to analyze the elastic tire model with finite elements. The fifth step(25, 26) is to compare the forth step(24) with a real object.
