PURPOSE: An auxiliary air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to blow cold or warm air directly to rear seats by mounting an auxiliary air conditioner under a console box and to use the console box as a refrigerator or a heating cabinet by blowing cold or warm air into the console box. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary air conditioner consists of: an auxiliary air conditioner case(4) mounted under a console box(3), having an upper vent(41), a lower vent(42) and doors(411,421) for opening/closing the vents; an auxiliary evaporator(51) connected with a compressor(21) and an evaporator(25) through a connecting pipe; an auxiliary expansion valve(52) connected with the auxiliary evaporator; a solenoid valve(53) connected with the auxiliary expansion valve and with a connecting pipe between a receiver drier(23) and an expansion valve(24); an auxiliary heater core(54) connected with a water valve(28) connecting a heater core(27) with an engine; and an auxiliary blower(55) mounted at the inlet of the auxiliary air conditioner case. Air of the auxiliary blower is heat-exchanged with cooling water of the auxiliary heater core. The cold or warm air is blown to rear seats. Thereby, the rear seats are air-conditioned or heated. In addition, the console box is used as a refrigerator or a heating cabinet by supply of the heat-exchanged air.
