METHOD FOR INITIALIZING GATEWAY BY USING STATE INFORMATION IN CORBA-BASED NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for initializing a gateway by using state information in a CORBA-based network management system is provided so that a connection setup time and a network load can be reduced by simplifying a connection setup process between an administrator and the gateway. CONSTITUTION: An administrator initializes connection to a gateway(301), and transmits a state information file to the gateway(302). The gateway compares its state information file with the received state information file(303). When there is the difference between the state information and the received information, the received information file is renewed to the state information file of the gateway(304). In addition, proxy management objects of the gateway are generated by using management object information of the state information file, and named according to management information(305). Thereafter, the state information file of the gateway is transmitted to the administrator(306). The administrator compares its state information file with the received information file(307). When there is a difference, the administrator renews its state information to the state information file of the gateway(308). It is thus possible to reduce a number of information transmission steps between a plurality of gateways and an administrator into two in a connection setup process.
