PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional digital broadcast receiver that cannot have immediately displayed a program guide even when a power switch of the receiver is turned on resulting that a user needs some time to acquire data relating to the program guide. SOLUTION: Acquisition processing of the (SI data) with respect to EPG display has been made when a power (including main power) switch of the television signal receiver is turned off. Through the configuration above, an EPG can be displayed in a short time after the power of the television receiver is turned on.
