PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain in which manufacturing is easy, assembling is also easy and sure, and self-holding of the edge-portion member of a chain at a method position is assured. SOLUTION: A chain for a chain vehicle is provided with a pair of a chain member for arranging with one each of the first and second portion members 3, 5 which has a chain pin support hole 2 and a chain bush support hole 4, respectively. A pair of a chain member is detachably connected by a tooth portion 6, 7 which is extruded from the support holes 2, 4, and is meshed each other in the longitudinally extended direction of the chain. Furthermore, self- holding of an edge-portion member of the chain is assured. A chest portion 10 of the teeth portions 6, 7 at a meshing position is extended toward a direction perpendicular with respect to a chain-stretching direction 11 or is provided with a undercut.
