SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING SPEECH RECOGNITION MODE ERROR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for correcting a speech recognition mode error. SOLUTION: A mode selecting processor determines a speech recognition mode matching a speech input and sends the selected mode result to an application program. An alternative mode result is saved in a RAM for afterward retrieval. A mode correcting processor detects a speech recognition mode error occurring and advances to a routine for correcting the mode error. If a command mode error occurs, the mode correcting processor enables a user to select candidate dictation or an alternate mode result matching an entry of a document. If a dictation error occurs instead, the mode correcting processor enables the user to select the candidate mode or alternate mode result matching the entry of the document.
