PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device which can very much decrease the resonance sounds of a toothed belt, even if the toothed belt has the same structure as the former. SOLUTION: The power transmission device provides the toothed belt 4 stretched between plural tooth pulleys 1, 2, and drives one of the tooth pulleys for rotating a driven toothed pulley by the toothed belt 4. The belt span length A is determined, so that the phases of the vibration are shifted, a long the belt thickness direction, which occurs when one toothed pulley gears into the toothed belt 4 and the other breaks out from the tooth belt 4.
