PURPOSE: A method for displaying a transmission phone number in a wireless local loop terminal is provided so that the transmission phone number can be displayed on a display of a reception terminal regardless of different local exchanges of the respective countries. CONSTITUTION: A communication system includes a mobile station(1), a base station/base station controller(2) for providing a wireless communication service to the mobile station(1), and a network(3) for connecting a local exchange(4) and the base station/base station controller(2). When the local exchange(4) transmits transmission subscriber ID information in a frequency shift keying(FSK) signal type, a vocoder of a selector vocoder card of the base station/base station controller(2) detects an FSK signal. Thereafter, the selector vocoder card applies the detected information to an alert with information message defined in the IS-95 standard, and transmits the resultant message to the mobile station(1). When the mobile station(1) receives the message, the mobile station(1) displays the transmission subscriber ID information (phone number) on a liquid crystal display. As a result, it is possible to display the transmission subscriber ID information on the mobile station linked to the different local exchanges of the respective countries. |
