PURPOSE: To optimize a job amount of a whole system including graphic chips by distributing processing to a host side and a panel side. CONSTITUTION: This is a image display system which is provided with a host side 10 for executing applications, and a panel side 50 connected to this host side 10, and which is intended for displaying an image onto this panel side 50, and when requesting the panel side 50 to display the image, this host side 10 transfers image data before expanding the image to the panel side 50, and the panel side 50 is provided with panel memory 52 for image expansion, and expands the image in the panel memory 52 based on the image data transferred from the host side 10 and also displays the image expanded in the panel memory 52 on a panel 55.
