PURPOSE: A thermostatic system of a refrigerator is provided to obtain simple structure, to decrease the number of necessary components and to cut down manufacturing costs by using a door switch as the central shaft of a rotary thermostat. CONSTITUTION: A door switch(12) is protruded forward on a control box(10) in a refrigerator. The door switch is movable back and forth. If the door switch is pushed by a refrigerator door, a lamp in a refrigerator is turned off. The lamp is turned on again when the door is opened and the door switch springs out. The door switch is useful as the central shaft of a thermostatic device(20) as well as is turned on/off by the door. The thermostatic device adopts dial type for adjusting cold air supplied into a refrigerator. A thermostat sets refrigerator temperature by rotation of the thermostatic device. The door switch is used as the central shaft of the rotary thermostatic device as well as is turned on/off. The door switch is integral with the thermostatic device. Therefore, the entire number of necessary components is decreased and an assembling process is simplified.
