PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for detecting forging efficient with respect to detecting speed and required memory capacity. SOLUTION: This system/method for preventing forging utilizes a picture detecting system using several parts among restricted document pictures, namely only templates. In an off line training procedure, a training module prepares a parameter file from the restricted document pictures. The parameter file includes a section threshold defined by using the kernels and the templates of the restricted document pictures. In the on line picture detecting procedure, a detecting module compares the projection value of an input picture with the section threshold to select a template-matching candidate. The coordinates of the template-matching candidate of the input picture are compared with the coordinates of the templates of the restricted document pictures to decide whether an inputted picture matches one of the restricted document pictures. |
